Breather Mental Health

Services at Breather
Every person who walks into Breather is met where they are. Whether you're seeking therapy, psychological assessments, psychiatric help, clarity about your career, or a deeper understanding of yourself, our NIMHANS-trained team offers a safe, confidential space, online and in person at our Mumbai clinic.
Psychotherapy
A structured therapeutic process, that begins with a case formulation, then works through evidence-based and process-oriented approaches. Therapy modalities like cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, and integrative methods are chosen for your specific concerns. Anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem, life transitions: each is addressed with a clear treatment plan and measurable milestones, at a pace that respects your readiness.
Psychological Assessments
Formal psychological assessment by RCI-licensed clinical psychologists, the qualification legally required in India for clinical diagnostic testing. We provide detailed, carefully written reports for diagnostic clarity, academic accommodations, and treatment planning, and collaborate with psychiatrists whenever comprehensive care requires it.

Includes : ADHD, Autism, Personality, IQ, Learning Disabilities, Mood Disorders, and other diagnosis.
Psychiatric Care
Some concerns need medical expertise alongside therapy, and recognising that moment is part of good clinical care. When assessment indicates that medication or a psychiatric evaluation would help, we connect you with trusted psychiatrists we work closely with, and coordinate care between your therapist and psychiatrist so nothing falls through the cracks. You don't have to navigate two providers separately: your treatment remains one integrated plan, reviewed together, with therapy and medical support working in step.
Training & Supervision
We invest in the next generation of mental health professionals. Breather offers structured clinical training and supervision for psychology students and early-career therapists, case-based supervision with NIMHANS-trained clinical psychologists, guidance on assessment and case formulation, and mentoring on the ethics and craft of process-oriented psychotherapy. For practising counsellors, ongoing supervision keeps clinical work sharp, accountable, and safe. If you're building a career in mental health, you'll learn the way we practise: rigorously, reflectively, and with the client at the centre.
Family and Couples Therapy
Relationships have patterns, and patterns can be understood and changed. Our clinicians map the dynamics underlying conflict, communication cycles, attachment needs, unspoken expectations, and work systematically with couples and families to rebuild trust and connection. This is skilled, deliberate work led by therapists trained in family systems approaches.
Career Guidance
Career decisions deserve the same rigour as clinical care. Our programme combines scientifically validated psychometric assessment, interpreted by a clinical psychologist, not an algorithm, with one-on-one mentoring from Dr. Amal Jahan, STEM career expert and PhD in Physics from IIT Delhi. For school students, college students, and working professionals, we map interests, aptitude, and personality onto emerging, future-proof career paths, guided by the philosophy of Ikigai , and we address the anxiety and family pressure that career choices carry, because we are, at heart, a mental health practice.
Group Therapy and Support Groups
Some healing happens best alongside others who understand. Our therapist-led groups offer structured, clinically guided support in a confidential setting, including grief support groups for those navigating loss, skills-based groups for individuals living with borderline personality disorder (drawing on dialectical behaviour therapy approaches), and support circles for new mothers adjusting to the emotional realities of postpartum life. Each group is small, carefully composed, and facilitated by a trained clinician, so the space stays safe, purposeful, and genuinely therapeutic, you are never simply left to talk among yourselves.
Corporate Wellbeing & EAP Programmes
When psychological wellbeing goes unsupported at work, it shows up as burnout, disengagement, and uneven performance despite real capability. Breather partners with organisations through psychology-driven workshops, confidential 1:1 employee therapy, workplace assessments, and leadership coaching. We work beyond one-time interventions, creating sustainable shifts in both people and the systems they work within.
